We have for sale an Antique Set of Brass Swedish Rump Horse Bells
Amazing find this beautiful set of horse bells. These are known as Rump bells designed to rest on the rear hips or rump of the horse, the bells are known as Swedish sleigh bells.
Swedish sleigh bells are a very unique bell and are a very large bell with lovely deep and loud tones. The bells are unique because of the six pie shaped slices formed by the narrow throats (lines at the top of the bell) that were cut into the bell rather than cast like other bells.
This set has two sizes of bells, the smaller two are 2 ¼” in diameter and the larger two are 3” in diameter.

Found in Southern Minnesota
Circa,1890-1900
Measures, strap is approximately 20” long, not counting the thinner tie down strap. Bells are 2 ¼” and 3” diameter.
Condition, Very good no cracks or chips. Please see all photos as they are part of the description.
