We have for sale a Vintage 1943 Federal Cartridge Company Wooden Shipping Crate
Wonderful Rustic Wooden Shipping Crate. This original Federal Cartridge Company ammunition crate held 10,000 cartridges for 22 long rifle.
The end panels are stamped (U.S. Property Lot No. 1211), one end of the crate is stamped with the Crossed Cannons Logo, identifying the crate was shipped for Army Field Artillery. All the lettering on the crate is embossed into the wood, very clear and legible. Also marked MFG. 1943, this was made during World War II.
The .22 Caliber Long Rifle ammunition was used to teach basic marksmanship before transitioning to full-bore service rifles.
This rare crate is pure vintage and has that perfect rustic look, printed on all four sides it will make a great display piece for any office, or man cave.
