We have for sale an Antique 1800s Apothecary Cork Press, Cast Iron
This Victorian period Cork Press is made of Cast Iron and has a beautiful scroll design.
Cork Presses were used throughout the 1800s and early 1900s you would have found them in Pharmacy’s and Drug stores across America.
You lift the handle and place a moistened cork into the press by pushing the handle down the cork would compress to the size bottle you needed it to fit. This press has three different diameters 1/4, 3/8, 1/2” press points. Measures 10” long and can be screwed down to a work surface.
