Antique 19th century French Picnic Style Corkscrew, Wine Bottle Opener
This is known as a Picnic Corkscrew they were developed around 1800. It is a sheathed corkscrew with a hole at the top of the screw. The sheath unscrews and is placed into the hole forming a T-handle. This style corkscrew is still widely used in the 21st century.
This corkscrew has a pewter head with a steel bladed worm (screw) and the sheath is made of Celluloid.

Measures, 3 ¾” Long
Condition, Very good for age, worm is a little loose in pewter head.
