Antique 1884 Wiers Compound Lever Corkscrew
What a wonderful find this 1884 Compound Lever corkscrew designed and patented by Marshall Arthur Wier
of Surrey, England and manufactured by James Heeley & son.
These were manufactured in two versions this beautiful, nickel-plated version and a bronze plated finish.
The condition on this corkscrew is wonderful and will make a wonderful addition to any collection.
Funny side note,
Wier name was spelled incorrectly on his corkscrews (Weir is incorrect) correct spelling is Wier.
Circa, 1884-85
Measures, 4” wide and 5 ¼” tall Collapsed. 13 ¾” tall when extended.
Marked, Weirs Patent 12804, 25 Sept. 1884
Condition, Good condition with lots of the original plating. Please see all pictures.
