We have for sale an Antique Enterprise Cork Roller Press No.2
Wonderful 1860s apothecary piece. This is a hand operated cork roller for compressing corks to fit into medicine bottles, made by the Enterprise Manufacturing Company of Philadelphia.
You lift the handle and place a cork into the roller by pushing the handle down the cork would compress to the size bottle you needed it to fit. This would have been found in Pharmacy’s and Drug stores across America in the mid-1800s. Made of cast iron.

Enterprise made two sizes of these presses #1 and #2, the #2 is much larger.

Marked, No. 2
Measures, base = 12" long, 3” wide, ½” high. Roller 11 ½” long, 5 ¾” tall, 2" wide.
Condition, Good with paint chips and wear from use. Please see all pictures.
