We have for sale a Vintage Peters Cartridge Co. Wooden Ammunition Box
What a wonderful find, early 1900s wooden ammunition box for the Peters Cartridge Co. of Cincinnati. The box has wonderful dovetail joints on all four corners and grooved out handles on the end panels. One interesting detail on this crate is the inside dividers also have the Peters Cartridge Co. script printing on them.
The box was used to ship ammunition to the retail stores, this box was found in an old, boarded store in Western Nebraska and is in wonderful condition with very vivid graphics, it’s a true display piece.
History,
Gershom Moore Peters formed the Peters Cartridge Company in 1887 and Remington Arms purchased the Peters Cartridge Company in 1934.
Circa, 1910-20s
Measures, 14 ½” x 9 ½” x 9” tall
Condition: Very solid and sturdy, has a few nicks and dings. Please see all pictures.
