Thank you for viewing our Store,
We have for sale a stunning 1924 vintage Singer 128-13 portable sewing machine with vibrating shuttle and bentwood carrying case. Serial # G0509470. The machine was manufactured in Elizabethsport, NJ. It’ original ‘BT’ 110-volt motor and Singer light were pre-fitted at the factory. Beautiful chrome trim including the highly desired grapes faceplate. This is a very nice machine finished in that classic deep gorgeous shiny black Singer paint. The gold decal design, La Vencedora (‘The Victrix’), shows minimal wear consistent with age and use.
The original foot pedal and electrical cord makes the motor hum. We’ve had several vintage Singer machines in the last few years and this one purrs. The carrying case is also in very nice condition with original hardware and folding handle.
We have cleaned and maintenance (oiled and greased) the machine, the electrical cords are solid and functional but may need replace at some point. The machine runs smoothly and has a very strong motor.
Our shipping charge includes meticulous packing to ensure no damage occurs during transit. Every shipment we have done has arrived undamaged even as far away as Alaska.
The I. M. Singer and Company began making sewing machines in 1851. In In 1910, the company debuted a more portable machine, the 128. Considered the ‘best of the best’ portables because at ¾ scale of it’ ‘big sister’ the 27 (that weighed 27 lbs.) it was more portable and just as capable. This version is the -13 and was factory fitted with an electric motor and electric light.
