We have for sale a beautiful fine English bone china tea cup and saucer made by Tuscan in England. The Dogwood pattern C9790 is delicate paintings of yellow and white dogwood blossoms. The pair is enhanced with delicate gold gilding on the rims, cup footing and handle. The dogwood flower is a symbol of rebirth and resurrection.
The set is in a very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or paint wear. Gold gilding is in very good condition. It appears to have never or only lightly used. Please see all photographs as they are part of the description.
Manufacturers of porcelain at the Tuscan Works, Longton operated from 1898 – 1966. In 1966 the holding company was acquired by Wedgwood and RH & SL Plant Ltd. It was re-named "Royal Tuscan" and continued as a manufacturing unit of the Wedgwood Group. The mark on the pair was used starting in 1947.
It would make a wonderful gift for the discriminating tea drinker.

Measures: saucer is 5 ¾” in diameter; tea cup is 3 7/8” in diameter and 2 ¼” high.
Condition: This set is in very good vintage condition
