We have for sale a Vintage Western Stoneware Company Five Gallon Stoneware Crock
Beautiful 5-gallons stoneware crock with blue cobalt labels made by the Western Stoneware Company of Monmouth, Illinois. This is a large and beautiful pickle crock, the upper rim measures 1” thick x 1½” high. It weighs in at 21.4 pounds.

History;
The Monmouth Pottery Company of Monmouth, Illinois started in 1892 was in operation until 1905 when it was sold, it was soon to become one of the seven plants of the Western Stoneware Co. in 1906. The original maple leaf logo was used by Monmouth and continued with the Western name. Western was made in seven locations, 2 in Monmouth Illinois, 2 in Macomb Illinois, White Hall Illinois, Clinton Missouri and Fort Dodge, Iowa.
