We have for sale a Vintage Casige Sewing Machine Made in Germany.
This is a wonderful and extraordinary piece desired by toy and sewing collectors. It is a fully functional sewing machine designed to teach young girls how to sew. The machine has beautiful art deco / tole style graphics in red green and gold on black. Made completely of stamped metal painted and chrome finish on most moving parts, has original wood thread spoil.
Condition; Has 95% of the graphics intact and minor rust and wear. The needle moves up and down freely and the machine is in working condition. Please see all pictures as they are part of the description.

History Note;
Carl Sieper of Gevelsberg named his machines Casige from the first 2 letters of his first and last names and the town he lived in. He made toy sewing machines from 1902 to 1975. The Art Deco period of the late 1920’s inspired him to paint his machines which are very collectable now.

Marked: On needle plate MADE IN GERMANY along with an eagle makers mark.
