We have for sale an Antique Pairpoint Silver-Plate Mirror Plateau.
Lovely 1800s Pairpoint Silver-Plate Mirror Plateau made by the Pairpoint MFG Co of New Bedford Mass. USA.
The four sturdy feet hold the silver base with sculpted swirls, flowers and lovely detail work the mirror has a scalloped edge. We have only lightly cleaned the silver to show the beautiful metal work, still has lots of dark patina on the silver, it will need overall cleaning.

Circa: pre- 1894
Marked: Pairpoint MFG Co. 2857, 10
Measures: 14” max diameter and 2 ½” tall. Mirror is 10” diameter.
Condition: There are no broken parts. The mirror has no chips however there is significant silvering and a couple deep scratches.

History;
In 1880, British silver designer Thomas Pairpoint (1838-1902) resigned his position as head designer at the Meriden Brittania Company and founded the Pairpoint Manufacturing Company, which was established in New Bedford as a silver manufacturer supplying Mount Washington with silver-plated metal mounts for its glass lamps and other products. In 1894, the two companies merged and in 1900 were renamed the Pairpoint Corporation.
