We have for sale a Vintage 1940s Gamewell Fire Alarm Station Box.
Awesome Fire Station Call Box made by the Gamewell Co. Newton Mass. The Alarm Box is all original as found. Looks to have the original paint and has no noticeable damage. Box has no key so we are unable to verify inside condition, but we are sure it has all its parts due to the weight. Weighs over 50 pounds, Measures; 17” tall, 12 ½” wide at roof, 6” deep.
The hole at the top was for connecting wires or a light depending on location on call box.


When the box is activated by pulling a hook, a spring-loaded wheel turns, tapping out a pulsed electrical signal corresponding to the box's number. A receiver at fire headquarters annunciates the pulses through flashing lights or tones, or via a pen recorder, and the box number is matched to a list of box locations


Circa; 1943-45
Measures; 17” tall, 12 ½” wide at roof, 6” deep
Condition; Very nice with no visible damage, No Key. Paint is faded with some chips.
