Thank you for viewing our Store,
We have for sale an Antique 1897 Anheuser – Busch Beer Corkscrew and Bottle Opener.
Wonderful 1897 Self-Pull corkscrew made by the Williamson Co. Newark N.J. with advertising for Anheuser–Busch Beer. The graphics on the wood handle read Anheuser–Busch on one side and their double wings logo on the other side.
On the bottom of the handle it reads Need Not Pull Keep Turning. This corkscrew is known as a self-pull corkscrew meaning once you turn the corkscrew into the cork and the bell above the screw hits the bottle the cork will start to pull from the bottle.

The bottle cap wasn’t invented until the 1892 by the Crown Cork Co. Baltimore and not widely used until into the early 1900s. Before the cap was introduced most all bottles had corks including beer bottles.
