We have for sale a Vintage French La Merveilleuse Solid Brass Corker / Cork Inserter, Wine Bottle Corker
Wonderful French winery corker made of solid brass these were used to insert the corks into the wine bottles. You would lift the driver and place a new cork into the corker and strike the top of the driver with a leather mallet forcing the cork into the bottle. This corker still has the rubber cushion under the driver these are usually weathered and lost. The corker has wonderful natural dark rich patina.
“La Merveilleuse” translates to “The Wonderful”

Measures; 6” long overall, 4.125” tall with driver down
Condition: Very good with wonderful natural patina. Shows only minor scuffs and scratches.
