We have for sale an Victorian Era Miniature Hercules Style Perfume Bottle Corkscrew
Wonderful Victorian Period Miniature corkscrew. This is a real fully functional corkscrew designed to remove corks from perfume bottles in the Victorian Period it is a spring assisted corkscrew made of nickel-plated brass frame a nickel-plated steel shank and bladed worm (corkscrew) and bovine bone handle. These were made with a few types of handle including early plastics, Ivory, tortoise shell and bovine bone. We have tested this handle and it is not plastic we are saying bovine bone because it is illegal to sell ivory.

Measures 2.5” Long, 1.125” wide at handle
Condition; this is a used piece and is over 100 years old it does have finish wear and the handle has chips. Please zoom into all pictures.
History:
The bottle cap wasn’t invented until the 1892 by the Crown Cork Co. Baltimore. Before the cap was introduced most all bottles had corks including Medicines, Perfumes and Alcohol. The corkscrew was invented circa 1750s and still used today.
