We have for sale an Antique Surveyors Transit by Buff & Buff Mfg. Co. Boston,
Wonderful Buff & Buff Surveyors Transit solid brass with black-crackle finish No. 33677, pat. 1674317, 5-inch compass dial divided 0-90° in four quadrants and 0-360° horizontal plate with two bubble levels, 12” long telescope with lower bubble level, four-screw leveling base, mahogany case with matching serial numbers on transit, case and leather handle, this came out of a storage room in the basement of the University of Florida Tampa.
Will make an amazing gift or an absolute gem for a collector we have only cleaned off the dust and left all the wonderful patina also checked the operations it works and adjust nice and smooth. Nice clear scope.

Measures; case= 16x12x10, transit= 12 height, 7” diameter frame
Condition; Overall in good condition nice clear scope, transit has only been surface cleaned could use a deep cleaning, has wear areas on the black paint from use. The case is original and has had some repairs over the years leather strap is original and worn / broken.
