We have for sale an Antique Hand Forged Branding Iron, Symbol brand Branding Iron
This is an original antique branding iron used to brand horses and cattle in the western Dakotas it is hand forged iron with a Symbol Brand. Symbol were used widely in branding irons a cattle rancher would design there own and unique synbol and register it with the state thay lived in.
This would have originally had a wood handle attached at the end of this iron handle shown.
This was found in South Western South Dakota

Measures; 16 ½” long, ( Z ) 4 ¾” tall x 3 ½” wide
Condition; very solid true vintage piece.
