We have for sale an Antique set of Early 1800s Bentwood Round Boxes
What a wonderful find this set of bentwood containers the outer ring of the containers is one solid piece of wood bent and woven together with thin strip of split wood lacing. These are
These where either made by German or Norwegian immigrants we found these in Western South Dakota.
The smaller still shows its original blue paint / stain on the outside. The large has two handle holes. The canisters will make a lovely addition to your home décor.
Circa; 1840-1870
Measurements;
Large 13” diameter, 3 ½” tall
Small 9” diameter, 4” tall
Condition; Good for age normal gaps in the bottoms, scuffs, dings, dents, splits in wood. Large container has a loose bottom but still solid in place.
