We have for sale an Antique Apothecary Cork Press, Monogram (M)
This Mid-late 1800s Cork Press is made of Cast Iron, has a monogram (M) on the top. These were used by Pharmacists and Druggists to compress corks for medical bottles, it has four different diameter 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8” press points. Measures 8” long and can be screwed down to a work surface.
Condition pure vintage as found with major paint loss, if you wish to strip off the old paint and repaint this it would be a wonderful piece.

*** Caution there are reproductions of these, they are fairly easy to tell the difference, most reproductions don’t have the screw holes in the feet and if you look at the bottom some are flat and don’t have the support beam running the length of the press.
