We have for sale an Antique 800 Degrees Indicating Pyrometer
This is so cool, it dates from between 1890 -1910, and comes from the Omaha Nebraska area. This is the original wood case with glass front; the gauge is sealed in the case to prevent dust from getting to the gauge, at the bottom of the box are two brass wire connectors and an access post to adjust the gauge to zero, all the hardware on the case is chrome plated brass, including the wall hanging brackets.

This is an Indicating Pyrometer otherwise known as a big thermometer, measuring temperatures up to 800 degrees, these were used in large industrial kilns or ovens for brick makers and pottery manufactures, the gauge would hang on a wall away from the kiln and two wires attaching to the bottom of the gauge would lead to the kiln attaching to a thermocouple which sent the temperature to the gauge.

Condition; It is out of a factory from over 125 years ago, the wood has dented and finish is worn but very solid, the glass on case has scratches, the gauge is awesome with only a few scuffs and scratches. Untested
