Antique Darkroom kerosene Lantern
Just a wonderful piece of photography history, this darkroom lantern
The lantern has a hinged front shield to block the light until needed in the darkroom, there are two removable glass panels 1-red, 1- yellow. The kerosene burner was made by W.V.&B. it is friction fit into the fuel tank with adjustable wick, the fuel tank has a brass screw-on cap, both tank and burner have not seen fuel in decades, meaning no kerosene smell.

Early darkroom lighting was usually yellow or orange in the dry-plate era. The red lighting was used when developing negatives.
This is wonderful, these lanterns are almost never found with their glass panels.

Overall condition is good, it is all original including the burgundy paint and glass panels also includes the wick in the burner. The lantern is nice and clean. There is paint lose throughout the exterior of the lantern; front hinged panel has dents on edge.
