Antique Minnesota Tractor Toolbox,
Wonderful find, this early Minnesota Tractor Toolbox with cast iron lid.
Rumor has it that the Minnesota Tractor and Implement company was run by the State of Minnesota, who had Prisoners from the State Prison building the tractors and implements. It is hard to say how worthy this rumor is. Minnesota had the most Tractor manufacturers in the Country 112 over the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Toolbox Lid is made of Cast Iron with a heavy gauge metal oil can holder attached to a newer homemade wooden box. Box is very well made of cedar with rounded corners. The red paint on the lid is the original red paint of the Minnesota tractor.
Circa, 1915 – 1920
Marked, Minnesota, M117.
Measures, 12¼” with finger lift.” wide, 6” depth, total height 8½” tall.
Condition, good vintage condition.
