Antique 1888 James Heeley A1 Double Lever Corkscrew
This is a James Heeley A1 Double Lever Corkscrew. Patented in 1888 by James Heeley of Birmingham England, his corkscrew manufacturing business became one of the most productive producers worldwide. The Heeley family started doing business at the turn of the century 1800 last known record of the family corkscrew business was in the 1940s. Has a bronze wash finish which was very common mid to late 1800s, some of the bronze wash finish remains.
This will make the most amazing conversation piece at your wine bar as you explain it is nearly 130 years old and made in England. It is one of the first designs of a double lever (two handle design) corkscrew and is in full working condition.

Measures, 6” tall, 11” wide with arms open
Condition, some bronze finish has worn off. The screw was painted red at some point, some red paint sill shows.
