Antique Mercantile String Holder / Twine Holder
Beautiful 1900s Cast Iron String Holder.
You would have found these in General stores, Butcher shops and other Mercantile stores across the country in the 1800s and early 1900s.
The days before plastic tape. Holds a spool of cone string (included) or twine. Holder has original gray paint.
The holder is made of cast iron and has three holes in the base these are for screwing the holder down to your workspace, if desired.
Circa, 1900-20s
Measures, 10¾” tall 6¼” deep, 3¼” wide.
Condition, solid no brakes or chips in cast iron, thread is old and soiled.
