RARE Singer Centennial 221 Featherweight and Centennial Model 20 Sewhandy Sewing Machines

This is a special treat 1952 Singer Centennial Edition 221 Featherweight sewing Machine with Carrying Case, cleaned, and serviced. Serial Number AK753034. The machine badge was issued on February 20, 1952, and was manufactured in Elizabethsport, NJ, USA.
Also featured is a 1952 Singer Model 20 Sewhandy Centennial Edition.
**The Sawhandy is a fully Functional Hand Crank Sewing Machine in toy size and sews wonderfully. Originally patented in 1910 and manufactured until 1975, these were known as the most popular toy sewing machines ever made. This is the 1950s model which has a thicker base column although it still uses the same mechanics as its predecessor of 1910. This machine is a rare Centennial addition issued in 1951. In its beautiful classic deep gorgeous shiny Black finish. It operates wonderfully. The thread running is simple on this machine with all the parts numbered 1 through 6 and down to the needle to thread this little machine. The machine is sold with the original carry. hold down clamp and screwdriver. Condition on case staining on outside (as shown), Machine is exceptionally clean with only minor scuffs on the finish, sewing plate has discoloration, (as shown). Uses a 24x1 needle.
**The Centennial Featherweight 221 was issued from late 1950 till mid-1952. Sews wonderfully.
It has the original 110-volt motor and beautiful chrome trim. The machine, case, and attachments are all in good vintage condition. This is a nice machine finished in that classic deep gorgeous shiny Black featherweight paint, gold decals and chrome trim.
**We have thoroughly cleaned and serviced this machine and replaced any worn or faulty parts. New electrical cord.

MACHINE, runs and operates smoothly, sewing bed shows minor scuffs, and scratches, paint chips at base of machine.
CASE, wear on corners, scuffs, and scratches, very structurally solid.
