Antique Book Press, English Cast Iron Book Press
Antique Cast Iron Book Press. This is a stunning Book Press with a 9½” x 12½” press plate, opens to 3” high. Top handle is 14¾” wide, 1¼” center thread is 7½” long.
The press is in wonderful condition and closes tight and level, has paint chips and loss as expected from use and age. It is very solidly built and weighs an impressive 65 pounds.
Ready for restoration or use as is.
Circa, 1890-1920
Measures, 19” x 12½” at base and 14” tall with press plate down.
Condition, solid no brakes or chips in cast iron, has paint chips and loss, screw head missing on plate top as shown.
