1950s Nylint #1700 Tournahauler Construction Equipment Heavy Hauler Truck Green
Wonderful find, this original dark green #1700 Tournahauler made by the Nylint Tool and Manufacturing Company of Rockford, Illinois.
The #1700 Tournahauler Construction Equipment Heavy Hauler truck was designed to haul any of the construction toys made by Nylint. Nylint made 4 versions of the Tournahauler, Dark Green, Dark Green with chrome grill, Light Green and Yellow. It measures 41" long with its ramp extended, made of stamped steel and rubber tires, it has a hand crank winch to help pull the other construction equipment onboard. And yes, designed with no front tires.
Overall condition, the rubber tires are excellent and pliable, the paint has scuffs and loss throughout from use, there are a couple of dents on the bed of the trailer, the rubber exhaust pipe is not the original was replaced at some point, motor is missing.
Circa, 1950s
Measures, 30 ½” long with ramp stored, 41 ½” long with ramp out, 7¼” wide, 6” tall.
