John Paxson Duck Decoy, Wood Duck Decoy
This is an original John Paxson solid wood decoy. Made by John Paxson of Back Bay, Virginia. We say original because the John Paxson family started making reproductions of his decoys in the 1990s.
A smaller decoy, looks like original paint and made without eyes.
Marked on bottom with JP for John Paxson.
Measures, 10¼” long, 4½” tall to crown of head, 4½” wide at base.
Condition, paint loss.
