Victorian Era Stacked Leather Cane / Walking Stick
Wonderful find, this 19th century Cane / Walking Stick. This is known as a Stacked Leather cane, which is made of a solid tapered steel center shaft overlayed with hundreds of round leather disks (approximately 12 leather disks per inch). The color of the leather is a dark brown on the shaft and black on the handle, at the base there are a couple bands of red leather.
Overall condition is wonderful, all the leather is tight and secure, metal is tarnished. We found this wonderful piece is a small western town in Wyoming.
Circa, 1850-1890.
Measures, 32” long.
