Antique 1888 James Heeley A1 Double Lever Corkscrew
This is a James Heeley A1 Double Lever Corkscrew. Patented in 1888 by James Heeley of Birmingham England, his corkscrew manufacturing business became one of the most productive producers worldwide. The Heeley family started doing business at the turn of the century 1800 last known record of the family corkscrew business was in the 1940s.

This will make the most amazing conversation piece at your wine bar as you explain it is nearly 130 years old and made in England. It is one of the first designs of a double lever (two handle design) corkscrew and is in full working condition, the worm (corkscrew) is called a wire helix because it is fashioned from one piece of twisted wire.

Condition, used, some pitting in metal, has a tiny chip at the end of one handle, shown in pictures.
