1944 Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad Lantern
Wonderful Railroad Lantern made by the Adams & Westlake (Adlake) Company of Chicago ILL.
The lantern was made for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad. (C & O)
The lantern is known as a short globe Adlake Kero lantern it has a Adlake 250 burner.
The white / clear lantern was used to give general or more common signals around the rail yard.
Circa, 1944
Measures, 9 ½” tall with handle down, 6” diameter at base.
Condition, has dent on top of lid, spot rust, globe has some tiny chips on rim.
