Antique Pair of Lucky Number 13 Blue Pint Ball Fruit Jars
Wonderful pair of Ball Perfect Mason Pint sized fruit jar with number 13 on the bottom. This is a rare find and especially in a pint-sized jar.
The BALL lettering on these jars indicates they were made between 1923 and 1933. These appear to have been made on the same mold, they have air bubbles in the glass common for the age of these jars.
These jars are lucky #13. Story goes that superstitious canners and moon shiners would break all of them for fear of bad luck.
These blue number 13 jars are very hard to come by considering they were made during the prohibition years.

Measures, 5½” tall, 3¼” diameter at base.
Marked, Ball Mason
Condition, scuffs, scratches, one has a tiny rim chip as shown.
