Antique Champagne Nippers with Corkscrew
Wonderful find, this antique Barware Tool from the 1800, made by Joseph Rodgers and Sons of Sheffield England.
This barware tool has Champagne Nippers, Corkscrew, Dusting Brush, and Foil Cutter. Marked on the hinge of the cutter, J. RODGERS & SONS.
Champagne Nippers, for cutting the wire cork protector on Champagne bottles.
Corkscrew, this one has a fluted worm (corkscrew), which is a groove in the backside of the worm which allows air to enter the bottle which eases in pulling the cork.
Dusting Brush, on the end of the handle is to clean the dirt or dust off the bottle after retrieving it from the cellar.
Foil Cutter, used to cut the foil from the neck of the bottles.

Measures: 7¾” long.
Condition, good for age plating discoloration throughout, nippers have dings in cutting area.
