Antique Folding Bow Corkscrew with Foil Cutter
Wonderful corkscrew, this is known as a Folding Bow Corkscrew with foil cutter. The Bow corkscrew was invented sometime around King George #1 he was given a sterling silver one as a gift, this one not so old but it is from around the Civil War time frame 1850 – 1890s. It is made of heavy spring steel handle and hardened steel corkscrew and foil cutter. The tools can be folded out one at a time or together. These make great travel corkscrews but be careful at the airport they love to confiscate corkscrews with blades.
