Antique 1880s Apothecary Medicine Spoon with built in Folding Corkscrew
This is a wonderful and rare apothecary dosage spoon.
Why a corkscrew for medicines? The bottle cap was not invented until the late 1800s by the Crown Cork Co. of Baltimore MD. and was not highly used until the early 1900s. Before the cap was introduced most all bottles had corks including Medicines, Perfumes and Alcohol.

Circa, mid to late 1800s
Marked, none.
Measures, 4” long when open.
Condition, finish ware and lose.
