Vintage 1950s Singer Sewhandy Model 20 Child’s Sewing Machine, Made in Great Britain.
Beautiful little sewing machine made by Singer; this model was made in Great Britain. This is a fully Functional Hand Crank Sewing Machine in toy size. Originally patented in 1910 and manufactured until 1975, these were known as the most popular toy sewing machines ever made. This is the 1950s model which has a thicker base column although it still uses the same mechanics as its predecessor of 1910.
This machine is a rare beauty in the standard Singer black with gold trim. It operates smoothly. The thread running is simple on this machine with all the parts numbered 1 through 5 and down to the needle to thread this little machine. Condition is very clean with only a few scuffs and scratches in the black finish. The chrome sewing surface is clean with no rust and only a few scuffs.
The machine is sold as is with the original box, (box is very worn). Does include the hold down clamp and stitch guide.

Circa, 1950s
Measures, 7” tall, 7” wide, 3 ¾” depth.

Fast shipping and amazing packaging job! The seller was even kind enough to leave the thread in the machine secured with a rubber band. She sews perfectly right out of the box. Can't wait to take this to mending workshops, thank you!
