Antique Union Pacific Railroad Lantern,
Wonderful old Railroad Lantern used by the Union Pacific Railroad and manufactured by Adams & Westlake. This is a Adlake short-globe lantern.
This is a Union Pacific Railroad lantern from the 1920s with short clear glass globe. The is marked U.P. for the Union Pacific Railroad, on the top of lantern and on the globe.
We mention the glass globe being short only because Adams & Westlake redesigned their lanterns in the 1920s to use a shorter globe which was more efficient.
Circa, 1930s.
Measures, 10” tall with handle down, 6” wide at base.
Condition, lightly cleaned, scuffs and dings from use, fuel reservoir is rusted on bottom, folding handle is bent.
