Antique Louisville Pottery 3-Gallon Butter Churn Crock.
This is a beautiful and rare 3-gallon Butter Churn from the Cherokee line of products produced by the Louisville Pottery Company of Louisville Kentucky.
Louisville Pottery is the oldest pottery company in America founded in 1815, and still in operation today. In 1970 the company changed its name to Louisville Stoneware.
Overall condition is wonderful with original lid and wood churn. Has normal manufacturing blemishes throughout and one tiny chip on the inside rim of the churn shown in pictures. Lid is excellent, has the numbers 3 and 4, lid was made to fit a 3- or 4-gallon churn.
Circa; 1906-20
Marked, Blue Indian Head Logo
Measurements, 13½” tall without wood churn, 9½” diameter at top rim, weighs 15-pounds.
