1920s Wicker Creel Fishing Basket with Leather Trim and Front Pouch
Beautiful early 1900s Wicker Fishing Creel. Meticulously handwoven wicker, combining form and function to create a visually stunning yet practical creel. The elegant leather accents not only add a touch of sophistication but also provide durability and function accompanied by the brass hardware.
Measures 14” wide at base, with a 10 ½” x 4” opening lid. The leather pouch is made of thick grain leather, it is stiff but not cracked, some saddle soap (leather oil) should loosen it up. Leather straps are worn from age.
