Antique Wagner Ware Cast Iron #8 Skillet
Wonderful 1920s Wagner Ware number 8 cast Iron Skillet made by the Wagner Manufacturing Company of Sidney, Ohio.
This is known as a number 8 skillet with heat ring on the bottom, the logo is known as a the "stylized logo" used from 1922 till 1959.
The skillet is in very nice condition, needs a good cleaning and re-seasoned.
History,
The single, large, fancy "W" for both words, along with "SIDNEY" and "-O-" standing for Ohio beneath, first seen around 1922, would become known as the "stylized logo". Info from (The Cast Iron Collector)
Circa, 1920s
Marked, Wagner Ware Sidney -O- 1058D.
Measures, 10¼” diameter at top of rim, 9” diameter at bottom, 2” sides.
Condition, As Found, solid no brakes or cracks in pan, needs cleaned and seasoned.
