Antique Triple L Logo Ball Fruit Jar with Zinc Lid, Blue Half Gallon / 64oz Size.
Wonderful find a true collector piece this Ball Fruit Jar. The marking on this jar dates it to have been made between 1896-1900, it is known as a Triple L or 3-L logo design and note the absence of the Mason name the jar only reads BALL.
These jars were molded using a two-piece manufacturing method, the top rim was placed onto the base while it was still molten glass. Also note this a low shoulder jar which also dates it pre-1900. The base on the jar is marked IV (Roman #4).
The jar is in wonderful condition with bubbles and lines in the glass.
Circa, 1890-1900s
Measures, 9¼” tall x 4½” diameter. Marked, Ball.
Condition, good with no cracks or has a couple flea bite chips on rim.
