Peter Dawson Scottish Whisky Wood Shipping Crate.
Wonderful find this wooden shipping crate made by Peter Dawson Ltd. Of Glasgow Scotland. The crate is made of tongue and groove jointed sides, bottom and solid ends, there is a steel wire running around the center of the crate (assuming for extra protection during shipping from overseas). Inside the crate are some parts of the wood rack for holding the bottles apart. The dark line running vertical on the crate sides, is from the tax stamp sticker that ran up and over the top of the crate to seal the crate for transportation.
