Antique 1800s Carpenters Wooden Tool Tote / Crate.
Primitive Tool Crate used as a Carpenters supply tote, to carry such items as nails. This old wood crate was well used the top edges are worn and rounded over from years of use; one corner has a saw mark were someone used the box to support a piece of wood as it was being cut. The construction is very solid, made of 1” thick wood and nailed at the corners with a ¾” bottom, the strap is made of 1¼” wide double layered stitched leather (stitching has come loose). Wood was coated with Linseed oil as a preservative at some point leaving a gloss appearance.

Measures, 9¾” square, 7” tall.
Condition, rustic and worn as shown in pictures.
