Antique Union Stoneware Company Two Gallon Elephant Ear Logo Crock.
Wonderful piece from Union Stoneware of Red Wing Minnesota. This lovely crock is known as a #2 Elephant Ear design, which dates 1895 to 1896.
This is a special one, this crock is an early Union Pottery crock without the oval logo beneath the Elephant Ear logo. This dates from around 1895-1896 before the oval logo started. This is just before Union Pottery and Minnesota Pottery merged with Red Wing Pottery.
The two-gallon crock is one of the most sought after for display, not too big and not too small.

Measurements, 9¾” tall, 9¾” diameter at top rim, weighs 8.6 pounds.
Condition, very nice for age, has the normal manufacturing blemishes, and a couple chips on the inside of the rim (shown in pictures).
