Antique Fort Dodge Stoneware Company, Stoneware Crock Jug
Two-gallon stoneware jug made by the Fort Dodge Stoneware Company and marked on the base Fort Dodge Stoneware Co.
Fort Dodge Stoneware Company was only in business for a few short years and was purchased by the Western Stoneware Co. in 1906.
History,
The Fort Dodge Stoneware Company of Fort Dodge, Iowa was formed in 1892 and was in operation until 1906 when it was sold to the Western Stoneware Co. it was soon to become the seventh plant of the Western Stoneware Co. in 1906. Western Pottery was made in seven locations, 2 in Monmouth Illinois, 2 in Macomb Illinois, White Hall Illinois, Clinton Missouri and Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Measurements, 11¼” tall, 9” diameter at bottom, weighs 8-pounds.
Condition, very good with no cracks, has a couple chips on bottom edge (shown in pictures). Has the normal manufacturing blemishes.
