Vintage Northern Pacific Railroad Lantern
Wonderful find this kerosene Railroad Lantern made by the Dressel Railway Lamp Works of Arlington, New Jersey, United States.
This lamp design was patented in 1939 (patent #2157081) and produced by Dressel from the 1940s till the late 1960s when the company was absorbed into the Adams & Westlake Company.
This beautiful lamp appears to have been a shelf piece (set on a shelf and never touched again) It is nearly pristine with the only defects being a couple chips in the rim of the glass globe (shown in pictures). The burner and chimney are as clean as the day they were made.
We have dusted the cobwebs and dust off and cleaned the glass globe.
This is in museum quality condition.

The Northern Pacific railroad merged with other railway lines in 1970 to form the Burlington Northern Railroad.
