Antique 1889 Arcade Imperial Coffee Grinder No. 707
Wonderful Antique Coffee Bean Grinder made by the Arcade Manufacturing Co. of Freeport, ILL. This is the Imperial Mill No.707; patented September 25th, 1888, and March 19, 1889.
The grinder is 100% original and in remarkable condition for being a mere 130 years old.
The base is made of hardwood with dovetail corner construction with a pull-out catch drawer, the drawer has a metal pushpin style knob. The upper section is made of cast iron with pivoting hopper door, the grinder can be adjustable to your bean grind preference, fine to coarse by twisting the metal knob at the top of the grinder. The grinder crank handle is also made of cast iron with a matching black lacquer finished hardwood knob.
The overall condition of this 1889 coffee grinder is very nice and clean and ready to use.

History,
Founded in 1885, Arcade Manufacturing Co. made small cast iron machinery for home use, especially coffee grinders. They made coffee grinders from their inception until the 1930s. In 1946, Arcade was purchased by Rockwell Manufacturing Co.

Measures, 11” tall, 7" x 7" at base.
Condition, very nice with light wear and scuffs on the wood finish, cast iron is solid no cracks or chips.
