1950s Syroco Cigarette Table Box, Syracuse Ornamental Co.
Wonderful mid-century Cigarette Table Box made by the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco) of Syracuse, New York.
The Table Box is made of a wood by-product of wood powder and thermoset resin, first engineered in the 1910s.
The box is designed with an acorn trio on the lid.
The table box was designed for non-filter cigarettes.
History,
Made by the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco) of Syracuse, New York, they are made up of a composition of wood powder and thermoset resin set up in a compression mold, these were believed to have been made between 1940-1950.
Circa, 1950s
Measures, OD= 6” x 4” x 2½”. ID= 4 ¼” x 2 ¾” 1” depth.
Condition, very nice some wear on finish.
