Antique 1800s French Market Basket, Gathering Basket
Wonderful find this late 1800s wooden gathering basket, made of solid wood with bend wood handle. Handle is from one piece of wood, bent and held in place with two metal straps at each end attached with nails.
Overall condition is rustic yet perfect, will make an amazing center piece for your table or entryway.
As with all our antiques we recommend they be treated as antiques and not used as an everyday item, there are precious few unique antiques left in the world.
Circa, 1880-1900
Measures, OD =17 ½” x 14” x 14” tall.
ID = 16” x 13 ½” x 5 ½” depth.
Condition, Rustic yet perfect.
